A complete breakfast outside the gates

Sawamura in the 2F Ekisoto Food Hall offers breakfast outside the JR gates beside the New South gate. Its September 2026 Bacon Egg Set combines thick toast, bacon and eggs, Thüringer sausage and salad with coffee, tea, orange juice or grapefruit juice for ¥1,925 including tax. The French Toast Set costs the same and adds maple syrup, fromage blanc cream, salad and bacon. A latte or cappuccino adds ¥385, making ¥2,310. Breakfast starts at 07:00 with last order 09:30; the restaurant closes for changeover 10:00–11:00. If departure is too close for a seated meal, the adjoining bakery has takeaway bread.

How bread and jewellery are made

Sawamura blends from more than twenty flours according to the bread, ferments dough slowly for about eighteen hours and uses four house-made starters. High hydration and long fermentation shape the bread. On fashion 2F, ARTIDA OUD offers another kind of material study. Its elafonisi bicolour-tourmaline pavé-diamond eternity ring uses a silver 925 base, 18K gold plating, dark rhodium and small diamonds set by Jaipur craftspeople. The brand price is ¥45,100 including tax; natural stones vary in colour and shape. This design cannot be resized, making fit a first decision. Shinjuku shop inventory is separate.

Scent or an edible gift

NOSE SHOP on the same fashion floor gathers emerging perfume brands. Bastille’s Un Deux Trois Soleil is a specific example: bergamot, pink pepper and grapefruit meet bitter almond, incense, vanilla and tonka bean. Those named notes help choose what to sample if sweet associations and heavier notes interest you. Perfume asks for a choice of scent and volume; chocolate asks about shelf life and carrying temperature.

Let the gate and departure time set the visit

JR Ekinaka is inside the paid gates; Ekisoto, the Food Hall and fashion areas are outside. For a meal before a bus, distinguish Sawamura outside the gates on 2F from Busta departures on 4F; arrivals use 3F. Check your departure time and boarding bay before eating, and leave time after paying to go up to 4F. Fashion shops generally start at 11:00, unlike Sawamura’s early breakfast. Choose one gift shop for the remaining time rather than trying to cover the whole building during a short transfer.

Fashion floors: Monday–Saturday 11:00–20:30, Sundays/holidays 11:00–20:00. Ekinaka food opens at 08:00, sweets at 09:00, closing 21:00 Monday–Saturday or 20:30 Sundays/holidays. Food Hall and Ekisoto: 07:00–23:00; shop exceptions apply.
