TRUNK(HOTEL) YOYOGI PARK

A 25-room Tomigaya design hotel with 22–23 sq m standard rooms and a heated rooftop pool facing Yoyogi Park.

Choose it over the Cat Street property when time beside the park matters more than a retail-centred base.

Visit fitFor travellers who value time around the park. Compare locations if the shortest possible station transfer matters most.

Keiji Ashizawa and Norm Architects combined Karimoku and Ariake furniture with lighting by Kojima Shoten.

Why stay beside the park

Exposed concrete runs through the hotel, softened by wooden Karimoku and Ariake chairs, Hotta carpets and warm pools of light from Eiko Miki’s copper wall lamps and Kojima Shoten pendants. Keiji Ashizawa and Norm Architects designed rooms that reward spending part of the day indoors. With 25 rooms, including five suites, this is a small hotel beside the park. Book it when you want time to swim and return to your room between outings; a day spent entirely among Shibuya’s shops makes less use of what you are paying for.

Walking bands are computed by FOW on the OpenStreetMap surface street network at 80 m/min and drawn as a smoothed approximate area around the streets reached. They ignore exit positions, station interiors, underground passages, signals, slopes and routes inside buildings — not directions; follow on-site signs.

Room size, outdoor space and bathrooms

STANDARD and CITY VIEW STANDARD give you 22 m² indoors and a 7 m² balcony, with a 160 × 200 cm queen bed and a shower. The 23 m² STANDARD + BALCONY and PARK VIEW STANDARD + BALCONY add an 8 m² balcony. Every room has outdoor space, despite the different names; choose a named park-view category if trees outside the window matter to you.

For two people unpacking large cases, the bigger change is the PARK VIEW SUITE: 45 m² inside, a separate living room, bathtub, 200 × 200 cm king and 16 m² balcony. OWNER’S SUITE has 65 m² inside and a 30 m² terrace. A better view adds something different from a larger room, so decide which you need before paying to upgrade.

Pool time and neighborhood dining

The rooftop’s year-round heated pool and jacuzzi are for overnight guests. The adjoining lounge serves oysters, cocktails and low- or no-alcohol drinks, with seats around a firepit. Leave an afternoon or evening free to come back if the rooftop is your reason for staying.

Check the pool rules before choosing the hotel: tattoos of any size are excluded. Children aged 12 and under must finish by 20:00; those under 130 cm need a guardian with them, and taller children still need supervision. Weather, maintenance, events or crowding can limit access. The hotel lists the combined pool and lounge from 07:00 to midnight; ask for the swimming hours for your stay.

Downstairs, L’Ombelico is also open to neighbourhood diners. Isamu Inoue of L’Arte supervises Neapolitan pizza from an Italian wood-fired oven, alongside pasta and other Italian dishes. Eating there does not grant rooftop access.

Check-in and staying with children

Check-in is at 14:00 and checkout at 11:00. Children aged 12 and under can share existing beds free within the room’s occupancy limit. Extra beds are available only by request in suites, at a listed ¥12,320 a night including tax and service. Decide whether a child will share an existing bed or need a separate one before choosing the room.
