Walking times are estimates from OpenStreetMap’s surface street network at 80 m/min. They exclude underpasses, decks, station concourses, signal waits, slopes and movement inside buildings. Straight-line links are not walking routes; follow on-site signs even where a time is shown. Shaded quarters show the approximate areas around FOW’s selected places.

Iseya Shokudo
A market diner founded in 1951, with ginger pork, the day’s fish and house rice-bran pickles assembled into a morning meal.
Continue with this place ↗Familiar pork, changing sides
Consider Iseya for a morning or daytime meal in the working market. Choose the richer belly or leaner loin for ginger pork, then distinguish a dish-only order from one with the set add-on. The day’s chosen fish and market vegetables offer a different meal. A restaurant visit does not grant permission to tour or photograph the market.
Choose cooked fish or sashimi first
At Takamaru, start with whether you want cooked fish or sashimi. The operator’s brand-menu example is a ¥1,500 akadon of grilled salmon and roe; the sashimi assortment is market-priced. That example does not establish today’s Honten sashimi-set price. Use the branch’s actual menu to choose the fish and preparation for your meal.
Noodles, tempura and the wait
Choose Jinroku when you can allow for noodles and tempura prepared after ordering. Decide on cold or hot oyakoten udon, then notice noodle resistance separately from sauce or broth. International travelers are directed to walk in without a reservation; the separate Japanese booking terms do not override that direction. Choose another meal if speed matters or the queue does not fit. These are alternatives for one meal, rather than a three-meal crawl.
