Choose the flavours or choose the room
Compare Bellwood's food-inspired drinks with SG's floral-tonic and coffee-martini examples, including room fees and a separate sushi meal.
Both bars' indicative budgets are ¥5,000–5,999 per person. Bellwood 18:00–01:00; SG Guzzle/Sip 18:00–01:00, fourth Monday closed. Sip bookings 18:00/19:30; busy limit 90 minutes.
Bellwood puts a kaiseki-derived menu structure at the centre; SG Club offers different settings in Guzzle and Sip. Ask whether the composition of drinks or the setting matters more to you.

Walking times are estimates from OpenStreetMap’s surface street network at 80 m/min. They exclude underpasses, decks, station concourses, signal waits, slopes and movement inside buildings. Straight-line links are not walking routes; follow on-site signs even where a time is shown. Shaded quarters show the approximate areas around FOW’s selected places.

The Bellwood
New materials create an older café scene; drinks move familiar food flavours into another form.
Continue with this place ↗For reading a cocktail menu closely, consider Bellwood. To choose by setting, check the relevant SG Club floor. Sushi and members-only areas are separate choices.
Choose Bellwood through food flavours
Atsushi Suzuki's Bellwood, opened in 2020, borrows an appetiser–grill–rice progression for Cocktail Kaiseki. A lighter documented starting point is the rice-shochu Kome Tonic. For savoury flavours, Yakiniku Bloody combines smoked vodka, wagyu fat, yellow tomato and black garlic; its January 2026 reported price was ¥2,000. Okushibu Fashioned takes bourbon towards mugwort and kinako, roasted soybean powder. The seasonal list changes, so bring the flavour preference behind the name.
Atsuhiko Sugiyama of The Wholedesign used deliberately aged new timber and contemporary geometric counter panels to suggest a Taisho-era café. Narrow tables sit close together beneath stained glass. Choose this room for an evening discussing how food ideas change a familiar drink.
SG offers drinks as well as a choice of rooms
Shingo Gokan's SG Club offers street-level Guzzle and basement Sip for ordinary visitors. Guzzle draws on the American West and includes mocktail/takeaway choices; Sip combines a New York gangster-era reference with Japanese elements. Each is listed at 25 seats. Second-floor Savor is members-only. The official site separately links Sangai on 3F, whose current booking offers Yuya Nagamine’s à-la-carte cocktails, a 120-minute sitting and advance notice for nonalcoholic requests.
The drinks deserve a choice too. Time Out's 2023 examples include Tohoku Gin and Tonic with elderflower tonic and doburoku vinegar, and Cold Crew Martini with SG Shochu, cold brew and lemon peel. Floral tonic and fermented acidity versus coffee and spirit gives a useful preference to discuss. These are historical examples; use today's list for availability and prices. Choose between Bellwood's meal-inspired progression and SG's room choice followed by a specific ingredient combination.
Bar budgets and a separate sushi meal
Both merchant listings give an indicative ¥5,000–5,999 per person. Bellwood lists no charge; Guzzle no service or table charge; Sip adds 10% service without a table charge. Both accept cards and exclude e-money/QR.
Bell Sushi is a separate four-seat meal led by Ayaka Terai. Its regular booking is twelve sushi pieces and three cocktails for ¥19,800 including tax and service. A tuna bite with pickled carrot and crisp crumbs recalls banh mi; rice shochu, sencha and wasabi can become a pairing. Sessions are 17:00, 19:00 and 21:00, closed Tuesday/Wednesday; a fully fish-free course is unavailable. Budget and reserve this meal separately from a flexible bar visit.
Build the evening around the booking
Bellwood is at 41-31 Udagawacho, 18:00–01:00. SG's Guzzle/Sip at 1-7-8 Jinnan post 18:00–01:00 and fourth-Monday closure. Sip bookings are at 18:00 or 19:30, with a possible busy-time limit of 90 minutes. The whole party must arrive together; counter bookings are capped at two, and parties of six or more are not accepted. An unnotified delay over 15 minutes can cancel the booking.
Bellwood requires guests to be 20 or older; SG’s booking terms exclude minors. Bellwood can also limit busy bar visits to 90 minutes; Bell Sushi has separate cancellation conditions. Allowing sixty to ninety minutes at one bar is an editorial suggestion. Decide whether the evening needs drinks after dinner, the sushi meal, or a booked basement seat before adding a second venue.
Bell Sushi is a separate booked course; both Bellwood services are age 20+. SG Club’s Savor is members-only. Check floor-specific hours and booking conditions for the date. The SG Club also excludes minors and seats a booking only when the whole party has arrived.
