Choose how the child takes part

A place to play and a shop where a child chooses an object answer different needs.

CHOOSE · Choose how the child takes part

Outdoor play and choosing an object in a shop are different activities. Retail is not a verified indoor-play alternative.

Walking times are estimates from OpenStreetMap’s surface street network at 80 m/min. They exclude underpasses, decks, station concourses, signal waits, slopes and movement inside buildings. Straight-line links are not walking routes; follow on-site signs even where a time is shown. Shaded quarters show the approximate areas around FOW’s selected places.

Shinjuku Chuo Park

An 8.8-hectare former waterworks site turned park, with waterfall plazas, lawn and wooded terraces that give the tower district different places to pause.

Room to move

Choose Chuo Park when the party needs movement, play and rest. The dedicated infant area, inclusive equipment and children’s room with feeding, formula and changing facilities serve different needs. Summer water play is for lower elementary grades, rather than an infant’s year-round activity. Start with whether the day calls for play or a place to rest with a caregiver.

Choose a preference and budget together

Decide together whether to choose a particular character or enjoy a surprise. Read the package to see whether the contents are selectable or random, then consider whether the recipient would use the object. This is a shopping visit, rather than a character meeting or a making activity.
