Walking times are estimates from OpenStreetMap’s surface street network at 80 m/min. They exclude underpasses, decks, station concourses, signal waits, slopes and movement inside buildings. Straight-line links are not walking routes; follow on-site signs even where a time is shown. Shaded quarters show the approximate areas around FOW’s selected places.

Money as weight and use

At Currency Museum, compare an oban gold coin with the weight activity and investigate what old coins could buy. Free entry and English audio support suit a collection visit, subject to security and large-luggage restrictions. This is not a tour inside the Bank’s Head Office.

An exhibition for looking at bowls

Mitsui Memorial Museum’s 12 September–23 November 2026 tea-bowl show offers a concrete comparison of black Raku, red Raku and Shino bowls. Check the next exhibition and admission after that period. The 7F galleries in Mitsui Main Building are entered through the neighbouring tower atrium, with different conditions from the free Currency Museum.

You need not add an exhibition

You can finish after the tower’s 1F Haru sculpture, restored stained glass and Historical Wall. Main-entrance hours are not hours for every restaurant or upper floor. If a seat is the priority, choose a cafe separately. Use the comparison to choose a visit, without needing to cover all three.
