Compare the bowls

The 12 September–23 November 2026 selection of 100 tea bowls lists Shunkan in black Raku, Nue in red Raku and the Shino bowl Unohana-gaki. Admission for this collection exhibition is ¥1,200 for adults or ¥700 for high-school and college students. Compare colour, the rim where a lip would meet the bowl and the curve of its body, rather than memorising names. Consider which you would want to use. After this show ends, check the new theme: membership of the collection does not make these works a permanent display.

They ignore exit positions, station interiors, underground passages, signals, slopes and routes inside buildings — not directions; follow on-site signs.

Entry starts next door

The galleries are on 7F of Mitsui Main Building; the entrance is in the neighboring Nihonbashi Mitsui Tower’s 1F atrium. Keep those two buildings distinct. Listed hours are 10:00–17:00, last entry 16:30. Check the chosen exhibition for installation closures and admission fees.

A small visit can be enough

Elementary and junior-high pupils enter free. With a child, choose by interest in the exhibition rather than expecting a hands-on programme. If your companions have different interests, a short visit or the tower atrium alone may suit the group. For a free indoor cultural visit, compare Currency Museum.
