The red-brick viaduct completed in 1912, the 1912 and 1935 stairs, and the former platform deck sit alongside present-day shops. Look at how pieces of a station have been reused rather than treating it only as a retail stop. Use its Kanda Sudacho south-bank location rather than a broad Akihabara area label.
WHERE · On foot from here
How far from the station, and which side
West of Akihabara Station, about 250 m in a straight line from the station area. The position is the official address point and may differ from the entrance. The shaded areas are about 5 and 10 minutes on foot from here.
Walking bands are computed by FOW on the OpenStreetMap surface street network at 80 m/min and drawn as a smoothed approximate area around the streets reached. They ignore exit positions, station interiors, underground passages, signals, slopes and routes inside buildings — not directions; follow on-site signs.

Stair and deck hours
The stairs and platform list 11:00–22:00 Monday–Saturday and to 20:30 on Sundays and holidays. The open deck extends to 22:30 Monday–Saturday. Shops keep individual hours and the complex has separate closure dates. An experience centered on old stairs is not a step-free access promise.
If adding one shop
If you want a shop or restaurant too, choose one from the current tenant list. The former station and railway can also be the whole visit. For late dining or a drink, check the specific operating branch; do not assume every tenant or riverside seat is available.
