Fukutoku no Mori
Take a short outdoor pause in a small planted Muromachi plaza, without planning it as a large park or guaranteed seat.

Read the small woodland
Fukutoku no Mori inserts planting between commercial buildings. The designer’s 2016 account describes a satoyama-inspired village woodland, seasonal plants, a low tsukubai water basin and dry-stream landscaping. Make a short visit to notice how trees and stone connect the space beside the shrine. Check water flow and the operation of adjacent facilities on the day.
WHERE · On foot from here
How far from the station, and which side
East of Mitsukoshimae Station, about 130 m in a straight line from the station point. The position is the official address point and may differ from the entrance. The shaded areas are about 5 and 10 minutes on foot from here.
Walking bands are computed by FOW on the OpenStreetMap surface street network at 80 m/min and drawn as a smoothed approximate area around the streets reached. They ignore exit positions, station interiors, underground passages, signals, slopes and routes inside buildings — not directions; follow on-site signs.

The plaza and event hire
Follow on-site notices when events or management restrict use of the space or passage. Event-hire hours and fees do not set the admission terms for an ordinary short visit. If you need a seat, toilet or step-free approach, check availability and the route before relying on the plaza.
Match the pause to the weather
If rain or heat calls for an indoor break, make that break elsewhere rather than relying on the plaza. Decide whether the group needs seating or simply a few minutes outside. A shrine visit and a paid evening at SUIGIAN downstairs are separate choices.
