A short look at trees and water

Awaji Park joins the greenery around Waterras. The district records lawn and an artificial stream, with cherry, zelkova, ginkgo and metasequoia among its trees. Alternate your attention between the trees’ leaves, lawn and stream. It suits a slower interval between Kanda meals or shops, rather than a special journey for a promised bloom or autumn colour.

Walking bands are computed by FOW on the OpenStreetMap surface street network at 80 m/min and drawn as a smoothed approximate area around the streets reached. They ignore exit positions, station interiors, underground passages, signals, slopes and routes inside buildings — not directions; follow on-site signs.

An outdoor pause without play equipment

The district’s park sheet explicitly lists no play equipment. It may suit a short outdoor pause with a child, but it is not a playground visit. Benches are listed, but a free seat or shade on arrival is not guaranteed; look at the actual seating before relying on it for someone who must sit.

Match the pause to the weather

Trees and flowers change with the season, so a particular bloom should not be the condition for the visit. Choose another break if rain or heat makes an indoor room necessary. Waterras says its common indoor rooms depend on hire arrangements and it has no nursing room. Use on-site signs and an entrance actually open on the day rather than relying on the mapped park paths alone.
