Total walking: About 12 min · 960 m on foot

Walking times are estimates from OpenStreetMap’s surface street network at 80 m/min. They exclude underpasses, decks, station concourses, signal waits, slopes and movement inside buildings. Straight-line links are not walking routes; follow on-site signs even where a time is shown. Shaded quarters show the approximate areas around FOW’s selected places.

Conditions and alternatives

Roundabout opens at noon and closes Tuesdays. The roastery is optional. Twelve minutes/960 m includes it as walking only; shopping and queues are additional.

If a required stop does not fit, choose individual Places. Optional stops may be omitted.

Begin at noon with a garment's edges

From Yoyogi-Uehara Station, head towards Uehara 3-chome and BODE Tokyo at 3-43-1. Opened in February 2026, this is a directly operated store for new clothing developed from historical textiles, rather than a used-clothing shop. The Looped Chainstitch Long Sleeve Shirt offers a specific first object: colourful looping embroidery follows the front, cuffs and hem of cotton poplin.

The room has material histories too. Green River Project's reclaimed-cypress cabin displays shoes and bags; reclaimed-timber doors with green glass and an American black-walnut table surround the clothing. The example shirt's overseas official price was US$690 on 19 October 2026, indicating designer-price scale rather than a Tokyo yen tariff or stock promise. It is made in India and dry-clean only.

Towels and timber boxes below street level

Next, use the pedestrian route by Inokashira-dori to Roundabout, B1 at 3-7-12. In his 2023 interview, Kazuto Kobayashi described an entrance resembling an apartment parking area, with stairs down to a heavy door. Potato-harvest boxes and surplus oars became displays in the high-ceilinged room. Here the comparison shifts from clothing decoration to an object's daily work and material life.

Begin with LITTLE SUNSHINE towels: 100% twisted cotton yarn forms a long pile, repeatedly washed until it twists into small cords. The initially firm handle becomes more supple with use. Daisuke Hinatsu directs the line, made by Hotman in Ome. Another retailer, HOEK, lists a 23 × 23 cm chief towel at ¥1,320 including tax; Roundabout's current price is unverified. Its ended June 2026 IFUJI show offers another construction example: bent cherry/maple oval boxes, including black finishes from three plant-dye immersions.

Add coffee or return to the station

Add Little Nap COFFEE ROASTERS at 2-43-15 Tomigaya only for the further Inokashira-dori walk and coffee. This is separate from the park-side Stand. A 2019 visit documents a narrow room leading from beans and cakes near the entrance along the counter to a Probat roaster: a place to add time for coffee and food.

A latte and Joint offer different concentrations; Joint adds espresso to drip coffee. A 2025 report also pairs medium-roast Brazil with banana bread. For a milk-drink example, a 2019 visitor described the house-blend Gibraltar, served in a glass jar, as biscuit-like. An August 2026 iced-latte purchase cost ¥580. That is a dated cup-budget example, excluding Joint, food and current bean prices.

If BODE’s dry-clean-only shirt exceeds your intended purchase, a small chief towel at Roundabout offers something for everyday use that is easy to carry. After comparing embroidered garment edges with the towel’s long pile, return to Yoyogi-Uehara if carrying purchases. Continuing for coffee changes the rail finish towards Yoyogi-Hachiman or Yoyogi-koen; coffee remains optional.

Twelve minutes walking, longer for visits

BODE opens daily 11:00–19:00; Roundabout noon–19:00, closed Tuesdays; the roastery 09:00–19:00. Start after noon for both required shops. The walking estimates are about two minutes/130 m between the shops and another ten minutes/830 m to the optional roastery: twelve minutes/960 m with that stop. Shopping, fittings and coffee are additional.

Thirty to forty-five minutes per shop and twenty to thirty for coffee suggest an estimated 1½–2½-hour outing. Spending varies sharply between a designer garment and a small household textile. The overseas shirt price and another retailer's towel price do not create a Tokyo shopping bill. Check the Tokyo branch price and availability for the item you want, and accepted payment methods. If stairs are difficult, confirm Roundabout’s basement approach before setting out.
