Walking times are estimates from OpenStreetMap’s surface street network at 80 m/min. They exclude underpasses, decks, station concourses, signal waits, slopes and movement inside buildings. Straight-line links are not walking routes; follow on-site signs even where a time is shown. Shaded quarters show the approximate areas around FOW’s selected places.
Start after 13:00. Walk about 13 minutes/1 km to LOCUL, then an optional ten minutes/790 m to THE ELEPHANT. Allow about two hours for two stops or three for all three, including fittings, coffee and floors, plus your return. Café last orders are 19:30; both clothing shops close at 20:00.
If LOCUL’s conditions do not fit, select individual Places rather than expanding this Way unchanged. THE ELEPHANT is optional.
13:15: start with fittings at SULLEN
From Shibuya Station, head above ground to SULLEN, Jinnan House 2F, 1-13-12 Jinnan. Match the address and floor because other buildings share the name. Put fittings first, while you still have energy to check shoulder width, jacket length and lining condition. For a short cut such as the Balenciaga autumn/winter 2013 jacket described by the shop, compare shoulder and chest ease with a jacket you wear and read the lining-condition notes.
A relaxed afternoon could run 13:15–14:00 at SULLEN, 14:20–15:15 at LOCUL, then 15:30–16:15 at THE ELEPHANT if you continue. These are suggested visiting slots, with room between them for crossings, finding the building and changing floors. Allow about two hours for the first two stops or three for all three, plus your return to the station.
Records and coffee on Omokado 5F
The walking leg from SULLEN to LOCUL is about 13 minutes/1 km. Stay on foot towards Omokado at the Omotesando/Meiji-dori junction, 4-30-3 Jingumae, then go up to 5F. It is the building opposite Harakado. Giving this transfer about twenty minutes allows for crossings and getting upstairs.
Find a record you want to hear at JAZZY SPORT—Lyman Woodard’s organ-led jazz-funk is one starting point—then browse the neighbouring clothing and plants or take a café break. The café’s July 2024 posted menu lists coffee ¥550, latte ¥650 and a ham-and-cheese crêpe ¥850, with ¥100 off a drink set. It requires one order per person and cashless payment. Café last orders are 19:30; the public floor generally closes at 20:00. Finish here for a simple return: the operator gives one minute to Meiji-jingumae Exit 5 or four to JR Harajuku.
Choose whether to add the basement shop
THE ELEPHANT is at Factory_01 B1, 2-31-2 Jingumae, another walk of about ten minutes/790 m from LOCUL. Look for the address and B1 sign on the side street. The two walking legs total roughly 23 minutes/1.8 km before shopping, coffee or indoor access. Walking keeps these short transfers simple; going into a station and waiting for a train adds steps to the journey. A taxi can help in rain or when tired, but its timing depends on traffic.
ORIMI’s BIG BIG DENIM gives a reason to continue: very wide legs, diagonal fastening and adjustable waist and hems are worth trying on. Add it when you can leave 45–60 minutes before the 20:00 closing time. If the café has already taken the afternoon, or your legs are tired, finish at LOCUL. After THE ELEPHANT, allow separate time to return towards Harajuku or Meiji-jingumae Station.
Late starts and shorter versions
For a 17:30 start, spend thirty minutes at SULLEN, allow twenty for the transfer and forty-five at LOCUL, finishing around 19:05. Omitting THE ELEPHANT saves roughly an hour of walking and fittings. After 18:30, keep even the first two stops to short browses of around twenty minutes each; leave lengthy fittings and a café break for another day.
If you have already visited SULLEN, start at LOCUL for forty-five to sixty minutes and add THE ELEPHANT only if new designer clothing is still the priority. If trying trousers is the main purpose, shorten the café break and aim to reach THE ELEPHANT before 19:00. Decide by the time left for the final activity rather than by completing every stop.
