Walks through this lens

Walking times are estimates from OpenStreetMap’s surface street network at 80 m/min. They exclude underpasses, decks, station concourses, signal waits, slopes and movement inside buildings. Straight-line links are not walking routes; follow on-site signs even where a time is shown. Shaded quarters show the approximate areas around FOW’s selected places.

SULLEN

ORIMI’s designer and stylist SERATA provide personal routes into a shop useful for comparing how older design works in a present wardrobe.

Continue with this place ↗

Choose between a wearable archive piece, an unfamiliar designer silhouette and browsing several small shops, then put your budget and fitting time where they matter.

SULLEN: add one garment to your wardrobe

SULLEN, on Jinnan House’s second floor, mixes past designer collections with current clothing. Start here for a familiar garment with a different length or shoulder line. A Balenciaga autumn/winter 2013 short jacket described by the shop gives a concrete example of waist-length proportions alongside a disclosed lining-piping defect. A cotton argyle vest asks a different question: how its armholes and hem sit over a shirt.

Bring measurements from clothes you wear comfortably, then compare length, shoulder ease and repair needs while fitting. Allow an estimated 45–60 minutes. Prioritize this over THE ELEPHANT’s new designer shapes when your interest is putting an existing garment back to work in your own wardrobe.

LOCUL: browse several independent shops

LOCUL offers several independent shops across Omokado’s fifth floor. WHIM mixes vintage clothing with accessories, household objects and art books. AT.1011 rotates used clothing beside plants. PMC PERMANENT brings clothing and a souvenir line from its Nakameguro sewing and silkscreen practice. Choose this floor when you want to explore different kinds of clothes and accessories without committing to one boutique’s cut or designer roster. Fit and clothing prices depend on the individual shop; there is no reliable single clothing budget for the floor.

A companion who is not buying clothes can spend time at JAZZY SPORT or the café. Online record examples include Lyman Woodard’s organ-and-electric-piano jazz-funk 2LP at ¥11,000 and a Jambo Lacquer/Olive Oil seven-inch at ¥2,400. The café’s July 2024 posted list gives a ¥550 black coffee, ¥650 latte or ¥1,400 ham-and-cheese crêpe/latte set. Those offer smaller purchases alongside the clothing search. PLAY adds flowers; the café requires one order per person and cashless payment. Allow 45–60 minutes for browsing and a break, keeping office areas separate.

THE ELEPHANT: try a less familiar silhouette

THE ELEPHANT combines Kenta Orimi’s vintage buying, emerging Japanese and international labels, and his own ORIMI designs. Prioritize it when you want to see how an unfamiliar cut changes on your body. Japanese-made cotton BIG BIG DENIM has a diagonal button fly and waist/hem adjustment buttons that reshape the very wide leg. Trying it on and walking in it matters more than simply choosing a larger size.

Official online examples give a regular BIG BIG DENIM price of ¥75,900, PERFECT SLACKS at ¥46,200–55,000 and PAF CUT OUT TROUSERS at ¥97,350. Plan around a designer-trouser purchase of several tens of thousands of yen and leave 45–60 minutes for fittings. The shop is at Factory_01 B1, 2-31-2 Jingumae.

If you have time for one

Choose SULLEN to compare archive jackets and knits with clothes you already wear. Choose THE ELEPHANT to try a new designer’s more assertive cut. LOCUL is easier when you have no fixed clothing target, or your companion prefers records and coffee. SULLEN and THE ELEPHANT open 13:00–20:00; LOCUL’s public floor generally opens 11:00–20:00. Follow each shop’s fitting arrangements.
