BODE Tokyo

BODE Tokyo links new clothes informed by older textiles and craft with a reclaimed-wood interior.

Unlike buying used garments at Chicago or BerBerJin, the enquiry is how older material becomes contemporary design.

Visit fitFor an interest in textile histories and contemporary clothing together. Treat the journey to Uehara as a deliberate choice, not an automatic extension of Harajuku vintage shopping.

Green River Project’s interior includes a reclaimed-cypress cabin, green-glass doors and a walnut table.

New clothing informed by older textiles

BODE Tokyo opened in Uehara in February 2026 as its first directly operated Asian shop. It offers new clothing informed by older textile forms and decoration, a different purchase from neighbouring vintage. The official Looped Chainstitch Long Sleeve Shirt is crisp 100% cotton poplin with colourful looping chainstitch along the front, cuffs and hem: decoration following the garment's edges.

Walking bands are computed by FOW on the OpenStreetMap surface street network at 80 m/min and drawn as a smoothed approximate area around the streets reached. They ignore exit positions, station interiors, underground passages, signals, slopes and routes inside buildings — not directions; follow on-site signs.

Materials in the room and the clothes

The Tokyo interior by Green River Project includes a cypress cabin, reclaimed green-glass doors and a black-walnut table, with shoes and bags within the setting. It places textile details in a room made from equally specific materials. The shirt's overseas official listing was US$690 on 19 October 2026. Use the dollar figure as a scale for the brand’s designer shirts, separate from a Tokyo shop price.
