Astier de Villatte Tokyo
Astier de Villatte Tokyo connects white ceramics, fragrance and printed objects within one brand’s domestic world.
Compared with CIBONE’s many makers, follow the continuity from one brand’s ceramics to fragrance and print.
Visit fitFor exploring one brand's ceramics and wider approach to domestic objects. Consider size, weight and transport if you plan to buy.
The upstairs art space has a dated programme distinct from everyday retail.
Look beyond the shared white colour to the contours and surface that distinguish individual objects.

CEDRIC DIRADOURIAN · resized and croppedDark clay beneath the white glaze
Young Kim's account of the Paris atelier describes dark clay rolled thin and pressed into a mould, a process called estampage. The clay showing through white glaze and the thin form follow from that handwork. The Japanese catalogue checked in October 2026 supplied a tangible example: the French-made John Derian Cat tumbler, 9.5 cm wide and 10.5 cm tall, listed at ¥26,950. Begin with one vessel's rim, base and weight before looking across the larger collection.
WHERE · On foot from here
Which side of the station, and how far
West of Omote-sando Station, about 300 m in a straight line from the station point. The position is the official address point and may differ from the entrance. The shaded areas are about 5 and 10 minutes on foot from here.
Walking bands are computed by FOW on the OpenStreetMap surface street network at 80 m/min and drawn as a smoothed approximate area around the streets reached. They ignore exit positions, station interiors, underground passages, signals, slopes and routes inside buildings — not directions; follow on-site signs.

From vessels to paper and light
Vogue's December 2025 visit described two rooms with light-grey and black Italian tiles, a small rear room of ceramic lamps and an upstairs gallery. Fragrance, lighting, stationery and books broaden the visit beyond tableware. The October 2026 catalogue listed the 2027 Agenda at ¥13,860: a 23 × 18.5 cm annual diary with gilded edges, off-white paper and letterpress printing. An imagined eighth day of the week and Paris/New York addresses extend the brand's invention into a working diary; books such as Ma Vie à Paris belong to that paper-making interest.
Gifts and the visit
For a smaller gift, Vogue reported match cases at ¥990 and ¥1,890 at the 2025 opening, dated examples below the vessel and diary prices. Current prices and stock can change. The flagship is at 5-2-11 Jingumae, 11:00–19:00; allow an estimated 30–45 minutes.
