ODD TAPE’s PARCO 5F shop pairs cassette releases with playback equipment. Its official online catalogue on 19 October 2026 listed DJ PIN’s FUDGE of JAZZ at ¥2,750 including tax and a download. This cassette reissue of a 2022 mix manually collages free jazz, electronic music, noise and musique concrète: choose it for abrupt changes and collisions between sounds.
The same 19 October 2026 catalogue priced My Bloody Valentine’s 1991 Loveless at ¥3,300. It is a shoegaze album, with layered, effected guitar sound and whispering melodies. The catalogue’s ¥2,680 DONUTS by J Dilla instead places samples and beats at the centre. Developed from a beat tape, its 31 tracks run 44 minutes—hip-hop without a succession of rappers’ verses. The first offers sustained guitar texture; the second gives you short, changing beat pieces.

Which side of the station, and how far
North-west of Shibuya Station, about 350 m in a straight line from the station area. It is inside the Shibuya PARCO building. The shaded areas are about 5 and 10 minutes on foot from here.

Piano-rooted beats or a blank tape
Yuka Seki’s alphabets takes piano-trained musical thinking into beats. The label describes irregular metre and floating layers of sound, a direction for listeners curious about rhythms that shift beneath the music. The digital album arrived in December 2025; the ODD-038 cassette followed in May 2026. The October 2026 catalogue priced tape plus download at ¥2,750, with three tracks absent from streaming.
Blank tape is a different purchase: the October 2026 catalogue offered normal-position tapes in thirty-five colours and several lengths from ¥450. Choose between owning a recorded work and making a recording of your own.
A first purchase may include a player
Without a cassette player, the release price is only part of the purchase. The official catalogue on 19 October 2026 listed Studebaker’s SB2130CS at ¥15,800 and We Are Rewind at ¥26,800. The posted alphabets-plus-Studebaker total was ¥18,550 at the time. Compared with ¥2,680–3,300 for the releases alone, it shows how owning a player changes the spending scale. Online prices and stock can differ from the fifth-floor shop.
Duplication is another branch's service
The PARCO shop generally runs 11:00–21:00. Allow an estimated 20–40 minutes for tapes and equipment. The published self-duplication service belongs to Todakoen, so do not schedule a recording session at Shibuya.
