Nihombashi Mitsukoshi Main Store
At this Nihonbashi department store, choose the food floors or architecture as your starting point.

Choose one purpose
Head to the food floors to choose something to eat, or the Main Building for architecture. There, look up at the Tennyo (Magokoro) statue, then look for ammonite fossils in the marble stair between the central hall and pipe organ. Moving your attention from a large sculpture to a small stone detail makes a different visit from shopping. If the stair does not suit you, finish with the sculpture.
WHERE · On foot from here
Which side of the station, and how far
North of Mitsukoshimae Station, about 30 m in a straight line from the station point. The position is the official address point and may differ from the entrance. The shaded areas are about 5 and 10 minutes on foot from here.
Walking bands are computed by FOW on the OpenStreetMap surface street network at 80 m/min and drawn as a smoothed approximate area around the streets reached. They ignore exit positions, station interiors, underground passages, signals, slopes and routes inside buildings — not directions; follow on-site signs.

Building and store hours
The Main Building became an Important Cultural Property in 2016. Regular departments list 10:00–19:00, with food and 1F to 19:30; restaurants and cafes keep their own hours. For a meal after shopping, check the restaurant’s hours first.
Choose a seat separately
Treat browsing and a seated break as separate choices. If sitting is the priority, find a cafe in the floor guide and check for a table. For art rather than shopping, check Mitsui Memorial Museum’s exhibition and entry hours and leave this store out.
A gift or a meal
For food, start on Main Building B1 and decide between a gift and a meal. Kayuan gathers regional Japanese sweets with seasonal and annual occasions in mind, making it a useful place to compare confectionery from different areas. For a meal, look toward bento, sushi, prepared dishes and bread. The operator lists Nihonbashi Benmatsu and Kanmo counters here; these are department-store purchases, separate from visiting their independent shops. Buying packaged food and choosing a sit-down restaurant are different plans.
