Taste the broth before shopping
At Ninben, connect dried bonito flakes, katsuobushi, with the dashi broth made from them. Small cups at Nihonbashi Dashi Bar let you compare bonito with bonito-and-konbu broth and adjust salt or soy sauce. Then choose flakes, dashi packs or tsuyu for something you would cook at home. The tasting gives the product names a flavour to refer to; check pack size and storage too.
WHERE · On foot from here
Which side of the station, and how far
South-east of Mitsukoshimae Station, about 80 m in a straight line from the station point. The position is the official address point and may differ from the entrance. The shaded areas are about 5 and 10 minutes on foot from here.
Walking bands are computed by FOW on the OpenStreetMap surface street network at 80 m/min and drawn as a smoothed approximate area around the streets reached. They ignore exit positions, station interiors, underground passages, signals, slopes and routes inside buildings — not directions; follow on-site signs.

A light meal has its own window
The Honten on COREDO Muromachi 1’s 1F also offers rice topped with bonito flakes. For shopping, retail hours are 11:00–19:00 on weekdays and 10:30–19:00 on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Rice dishes run 11:00–14:00 while supplies last; broth is listed 11:00–18:00. In this standing-tasting space, a small rice dish and broth can make a light meal, but do not rely on it for a long seated rest. Hanare is a separate seated restaurant in another building. Posted takeaway prices can differ from eating-in prices.
Choose supplies and a seat separately
Start with broth for a tasting, or arrive within the rice window for a little lunch. For a gift, consider whether the recipient wants an ingredient to cook with or a convenient pack. If the group needs a substantial seated meal, choose a restaurant first and keep this as a short tasting and shopping stop.
