Kawase Gakki
Arrange guitar repair or setup in Ogawamachi while travelling. Same-day completion depends on reservations and the work needed; explain your departure deadline first.
Discuss a repair when repeat visits are difficult
Kawase describes same-day guitar work for visitors who have travelled far and cannot make repeated trips. Listed examples include nut and saddle replacement or adjustment, and pickup installation. Explain the instrument, symptoms and when you can return, then ask which work can be accepted. The instrument’s condition matters; a casual visit is not a promise that every problem can be resolved immediately.
WHERE · On foot from here
Which side of the station, and how far
West of Ogawamachi Station, about 200 m in a straight line from the station point. The position is the official address point and may differ from the entrance. The shaded areas are about 5 and 10 minutes on foot from here.
Walking bands are computed by FOW on the OpenStreetMap surface street network at 80 m/min and drawn as a smoothed approximate area around the streets reached. They ignore exit positions, station interiors, underground passages, signals, slopes and routes inside buildings — not directions; follow on-site signs.

Agree the reservation and completion time first
Repairs and adjustments require advance reservation. The shop asks visitors to aim for reservation requests by around 17:00; agree handover and completion times separately. Same-day booking and completion may be possible when there is an opening, subject to the schedule and work involved. Before bringing the instrument, confirm acceptance and the return time if a flight or onward trip depends on it. Consultation and estimates are free, with the amount assessed after physical inspection. Instruments bought from the shop receive reservation priority; ask in advance about one bought elsewhere. Confirm language support too if it is essential.
Match the visit to the Ogawamachi shop
The direct shop is at Kanda Ogawamachi 2-4. Listed hours are 10:00–19:00, closing at 18:00 on Sundays and holidays; Wednesdays are closed unless they fall on a holiday. Fit a repair visit to the agreed handover and return times, not the opening hours alone. If you need to leave for another city immediately afterwards, confirm same-day completion before handing over the instrument. Without that confirmation, decide whether the trip allows a repair or only a consultation.
