Paper that fits the length of a letter

Haibara’s accordion-fold letter paper has perforations at the folds, so you tear it where the writing ends. The same format can hold a brief note or a longer letter, with envelopes in the letter sets. Choose whether you will write, wrap an object or use a small box before choosing the pattern. Check physical-store stock for a particular design.

Buying and making are different visits

The Honten is at Tokyo Nihonbashi Tower, Nihonbashi 2-7-1. Hours are weekdays 10:00–18:30 and Saturday–Sunday 10:00–17:30, closed public holidays and the year-end period. The operator says the Honten does not offer regular workshops or papermaking. Compare Ozu Washi’s separate booking arrangements if making paper is the purpose.

Choose what you can take home

Check patterns and seasonal stock in the shop. Shipping is limited to Japan, so overseas delivery is not an assumed option. Before choosing, consider what you can carry and how delicate paper will be packed. A design photographed in an older feature is not a promise of current stock.
