Shumai Sakaba Ogawa
A compact restaurant built around meat-rich shumai, oven-cooked omelette and wine.
Ogawa starts with the food; Enrai makes sake the organizing decision.

The Mignon group concentrated its French-kitchen experience into shumai and omelette as two anchors.
Sharing shumai and omelette puts steamed meat beside slowly baked egg, giving a small order a clear contrast.

Shumai Sakaba Ogawa is a drinking restaurant built around dumplings by a French-trained chef. The restaurant describes hand-kneading four cuts of Iwanaka pork, seasoning them with dark Nagasaki soy sauce and Wakayama sansho. Pair the steamed shumai with its Dutch-oven egg dish for a contrast in preparation. A solo diner can build around those two dishes and the day's portion sizes; a group has a clearer budget anchor in the advertised course.

Walking bands are computed by FOW on the OpenStreetMap surface street network at 80 m/min and drawn as a smoothed approximate area around the streets reached. They ignore exit positions, station interiors, underground passages, signals, slopes and routes inside buildings — not directions; follow on-site signs.

Ogawa’s shumai lunch
Weekday lunch, 12:00–14:00, is a chance to build a meal around shumai and egg. The restaurant’s 2020 set introduction combined four shumai, egg, roasted vegetables, a small side, pickles, rice and tea. For a solo visit, use the lunch menu rather than the group course; allow an estimated 45–60 minutes.
A defined dinner budget
The official booking site advertises seven dishes, including shumai and the Dutch-oven egg dish, for ¥5,000 including tax and 2½ hours of unlimited drinks such as beer, wine and lemon sour. The course takes 2–20 people, so its price is a dinner reference for a group rather than a solo order. Ordering individual plates gives more control over the food, but the budget depends on the plates and drinks you choose. Of the 29 seats, 25 are at tables and four at the counter.
Lunch and dinner are separate services
The address is 1F, 3-1-10 Shibuya. The restaurant quotes roughly five to eight minutes on foot from Shibuya Station, depending on the exit. Weekdays have separate 12:00–14:00 lunch and 17:00–23:00 dinner services; Saturday opens 17:00–22:00, while Sundays and public holidays are closed. These are the official hours checked in October 2026; verify exceptional closures when booking. Major credit cards, electronic money and PayPay are accepted.
