Uva tea and layers of butter

Opened in 2018, CHAVATY's first tearoom grew from a search for Uva tea in Sri Lanka's highlands. Start with an Uva tea latte and plain scone: a black tea chosen to retain its character in milk, paired with butter-rich dough folded into layers and baked in a chrysanthemum shape.

Hot lattes carry milk foam and honey. Cold ones arrive with a frozen glass and bottle, without ice that would dilute the tea. Hojicha uses Kyoto and Nara tea roasted to a dark reddish brown, giving a roasted alternative to matcha's green-tea character or Uva's black tea. An August 2026 visitor paid ¥1,740 for a scone set and reported a standalone matcha latte at ¥800. Seasonal scones and spreads may alter a total; these are dated purchases, not a confirmed current base tariff.

An everyday tea break and a reserved breakfast

The official shop information lists 30 seats at 4-6-9 Jingumae, Minamiharajuku Building 1F, about five minutes from Omotesando Station. Regular hours are 10:00–20:00. The monthly breakfast is a separate, prepaid 90-minute booking for at least two people.

Monthly breakfast bookings are planned to open at 10:00 on the first of the month, without a waiting list. Use the selected sitting’s date, menu, price and cancellation terms. For ordinary visits, the merchant-managed page lists cards, transport IC, PayPay and Alipay.
