Little Nap COFFEE STAND

A small workshop by Yoyogi Park, with an espresso-blend milk coffee or espresso-and-drip Joint as distinct starting choices.

An iron door and timber counter translate a boot-repair workshop into a small space around espresso-making, adding a close view of the process to a park-side cup.

Visit fitFor a short coffee stop around Yoyogi Park. Choose the separate roastery if that is the purpose of the visit.

It is a separate location and visit from the brand’s COFFEE ROASTERS.

Good to know

Match the stand to the gate you will use for a genuinely short coffee break.

A small workshop by the park

Little Nap Coffee Stand is Daisuke Hamada’s original shop, opened in 2011. In a 2012 ACROSS interview he described a workshop inspired by boot repairs. Open A designed roughly twenty square metres with timber counters and flooring and an iron door intended to age. Coffee-making tools sit close to customers in this small setting. Brian Williams’s 2018 visit also documents the indoor bench, window bar and outdoor bar.

Walking bands are computed by FOW on the OpenStreetMap surface street network at 80 m/min and drawn as a smoothed approximate area around the streets reached. They ignore exit positions, station interiors, underground passages, signals, slopes and routes inside buildings — not directions; follow on-site signs.

An espresso blend with milk, or a black Joint

Teruko Kanno’s July 2025 ROOMIE report describes the espresso blend she regularly enjoyed at this stand as balanced between bitterness and sweetness and particularly suited to milk. It gives a concrete reason to choose a latte: the coffee’s bitter edge alongside milk’s sweetness, rather than a promised single-fruit note.

For a substantial black drink, Joint combines espresso and drip coffee. A firsthand 2025 visit published by Daniel’s Lighthouse in 2026 describes it as thick and robust. Williams’s earlier 2018 visit also records a short house espresso and the small, steamed-milk Gibraltar. The distinction is between a milk drink, a concentrated shot and a longer black Joint.

One cup before the park

The address is 5-65-4 Yoyogi, with regular hours 09:00–19:00. Approach from Yoyogi-Hachiman or Yoyogi-Koen station and pair it with the park’s west-gate side. Mapple’s undated guide gave a ¥500 drip-coffee example, a past published indication of cup-budget scale. Allow an estimated 15–25 minutes. This is a compact coffee pause; for a closer look at beans and roasting, Roasters is a separate shop at 2-43-15 Tomigaya.
