From charcuterie to duck

Pulse moved to Tomigaya in October 2025 under chef Omura, whose background includes Chez Matsuo, Thierry Marx Ginza and the Maître Canardier duck-cooking qualification. Mint walls, orange chairs, four counter seats and 24 table seats frame a bistro built around house-made charcuterie.

The charcuterie assortment makes a useful first dish. A December 2025 report described a two-week-aged pork-and-duck pâté, white-liver mousse with chestnut honey and truffle, terrines and smoked meats. The menu updated in May 2026 also lists pâté de campagne with pistachio and foie gras. Sliced pâté and spreadable mousse give the plate different textures. For a main, the current menu distinguishes Aomori Gin-no-Kamo roast with green-pepper sauce from duck-leg confit with mustard sauce. A January 2026 chef interview described finishing the roast over charcoal.

Budget for the ordering conditions

The current merchant-managed listing requires at least one food order and two drinks per person, plus a ¥1,100 amuse of bread and soup. One shared assortment for two does not meet that condition. Groups of five or more take a ¥6,600-per-person course including the amuse, two starters and a main; drinks are additional, and a duck or pie main adds ¥1,100. For a dated price scale, BRUTUS's 10 December 2025 report lists a charcuterie assortment for two at ¥3,740 and roast duck for two at ¥5,720. These illustrate the price scale in that 2025 report. For two, budget for at least two food orders, four drinks and two amuse charges.

Pulse is at 1-6-8 Tomigaya, Mori Building 1F, near Yoyogi-koen Exit B1. It opens Monday, Thursday and Friday 18:00–23:00, Saturday/public holidays 16:00–23:00 and Sunday 16:00–22:00, closing Tuesday and Wednesday. Food last orders are 21:30 except Sunday, when they are 20:30. Children through junior-high age are admitted only on weekends and public holidays, 16:00–18:00. Busy sittings may be limited to two hours; arriving over 15 minutes late without notice may cancel a booking. Cards, transport IC and major QR payments are accepted.
