Kosugiyu began in Koenji in 1933; its Harajuku branch brings that bathhouse culture into Harakado's basement. White tiles and round mirrors frame a daily milk bath. The operator lists petrolatum, beeswax and mineral oil among the preparation's ingredients: this is not a tub filled with drinking milk. Published settings are 41°C for the milk bath, 44°C for the hot bath with bubbling jets, and 18.5°C for the softened-water cold bath. There is also an indoor rest area.
After reception and shoe storage, use the changing room and washing area. Wash and rinse before entering a shared bath; choose the tubs you are comfortable using rather than treating hot–cold alternation as compulsory. Keep towels and hair out of the water, and dry off before returning to the changing room. Phones are prohibited in the changing and bathing areas.
Wooden buckets and stools come from Nakagawa Woodcraft's Hira workshop. Kumamoto tatami appears on changing-room benches and Hida-made furniture in the waiting area. These are objects for sitting and washing rather than exhibits. Using Japanese household craft adds a different experience to a shopping day.

How far from the station, and which side
South-west of Meiji-jingumae 'Harajuku' Station, about 50 m in a straight line from the station point. The mark is a verified point, not the entrance. The shaded areas are about 5 and 10 minutes on foot from here.
Walking bands are computed by FOW on the OpenStreetMap surface street network at 80 m/min and drawn as a smoothed approximate area around the streets reached. They ignore exit positions, station interiors, underground passages, signals, slopes and routes inside buildings — not directions; follow on-site signs.

Costs and the early entrance
Admission is ¥600 for adults, ¥200 for primary-school children and ¥100 for preschoolers. Face/bath towel rental is ¥100/¥200: admission with both totals ¥900. The dryer costs ¥20 per three minutes, making ¥920 a planning example with both towels and one dryer interval, excluding drinks or other services. Shampoo, conditioner and body soap are provided; bringing towels avoids rental costs. Shibuya's public baths restrict mixed-sex bathing from about age seven. Plan who will accompany a child into each bathing area.
Hours are 07:00–23:00, last entry 22:15, closed Thursdays. Since August 2024, all opening hours have been available to general visitors, replacing the initial local-user restrictions. Official walks are one minute from Meiji-jingumae and four from JR Harajuku. Before the retail building opens at 11:00, use the M1F elevator on the ward-road side near Meiji-jingumae Exit 7 to reach Chikaichi on B1. Allow time to wash and change as well as soak.
